Open Positions
1. Interior / Design Consultant
Role Overview: As our Interior/Design Consultant, you’ll be the face of The Curtain Shop for clients, guiding them through fabric selection, styles, and measurements to bring their vision to life. You’ll work closely with customers in-store, on-site, or online to recommend the best curtain and window treatment solutions for their space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their style preferences, budget, and functional needs
- Recommend fabrics, colors, patterns, and curtain styles suited to each space
- Provide accurate design proposals, quotations, and mood boards where needed
- Coordinate with the production and installation teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Stay updated on interior design trends and new fabric collections
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
Requirements:
- Prior experience in interior design, curtain consultancy, or a related field preferred
- Strong sense of style, color, and space planning
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to read measurements and understand fabric specifications
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus)
2. Curtain Maker
Role Overview: We’re looking for a skilled Curtain Maker to produce high-quality, made-to-measure curtains and soft furnishings. You’ll work with a variety of fabrics to bring designs to life with precision stitching and finishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, sew, and finish curtains, drapes, and soft furnishings to exact specifications
- Work with different fabric types including sheers, blackout, linen, silk, and velvet
- Ensure all pieces meet quality standards before dispatch
- Follow design and measurement instructions accurately
- Maintain and organize sewing equipment and work area
- Collaborate with the design team on custom or complex orders
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a curtain maker, seamstress, or tailor (soft furnishings background preferred)
- Strong sewing and finishing skills, including hems, linings, and pleats
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision under deadlines
- Familiarity with industrial sewing machines and curtain-making tools
- Ability to read and follow measurement sheets and work orders
3. Curtain / Blind Installer
Role Overview: As a Curtain/Blind Installer, you’ll be responsible for the on-site fitting of curtains, tracks, rods, and blinds at client homes and offices, ensuring a flawless and professional finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install curtain tracks, rods, poles, and blinds according to design specifications
- Take accurate on-site measurements when required
- Handle motorized/smart curtain systems where applicable
- Ensure safe, clean, and professional installation at every job site
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor fitting issues on-site
- Communicate with clients professionally during installation visits
- Coordinate with the Site Supervisor and office team on scheduling and job completion
Requirements:
- Experience in curtain, blind, or window treatment installation
- Basic knowledge of tools, drilling, and mounting hardware
- Comfortable working at heights and in various site conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid UAE driving license preferred
- Good communication skills for client interactions
4. Site Supervisor
Role Overview: The Site Supervisor oversees installation projects from start to finish, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standard. You’ll manage installer teams, coordinate schedules, and act as the main point of contact for on-site quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule installation jobs across multiple sites
- Supervise and support the installation team on-site
- Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets company standards
- Resolve on-site issues, delays, or client concerns quickly and professionally
- Liaise between clients, the design team, and installers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain records of completed jobs, materials used, and any site-specific notes
- Ensure health and safety practices are followed on every site
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally in installation, construction, or interior fit-out
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Good communication skills, both with clients and team members
- Valid UAE driving license required
- Willingness to travel between job sites across Dubai
